A front lawn that holds water after every rain isn't just an eyesore - it's a problem that gets worse over time. Soggy ground, dead patches, and uneven terrain all point to the same root cause: the grade isn't right. That's exactly what we came out to fix here.

We stripped things back to bare soil and reshaped the entire front yard from scratch. The goal with any regrade is to get the slope working in your favor - moving water away from the home and toward the street or a proper drainage path. When the grade is wrong, no amount of seeding or sodding is going to give you a lawn that actually thrives.

We used a compact track loader to work the soil across the full yard, right up to the sidewalk edge and around the existing tree. That kind of equipment gives us the control to work in tighter residential spaces without tearing up what's around the work area. It's not just about moving dirt - it's about moving it to the right places.

Once the grade is set correctly, the lawn has a real foundation to grow from. Seed takes hold better. Water doesn't pool. And the whole yard just functions the way it's supposed to. That's the difference between a quick fix and work that actually lasts.

If your front lawn has been holding water or just looks rough and uneven, regrading is worth a serious look. It's one of those jobs that fixes multiple problems at once and sets everything else up for success.
